Album Review

Latin pop star Belinda is a diva in the making. A cute and charismatic presence on album, Belinda has a charming voice and more often than not comes off as a mix of Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez on her 2006 release Total. Fun and funky, Total is obviously meant for a teen pop audience. However, as these are eminently well-crafted productions that find the singer deftly moving through a variety of styles including dance-pop, '60s influenced pop/rock and some more traditional Tejano sounds, it should have a wide crossover appeal. [The CD/DVD edition includes music videos and other bonus content.]
