Some of Damm's most bizarre combinations come out on his Anodyne work, and "Musik Ohne Eire" (recorded, reportedly, with a mystery guest under the name Chicks With Dicks) is among the weirdest. Five tracks with no single unifying theme, "Musik" moves through harsh ambient-ish breaks ala Aphex Twin and Mike Paradinas, melancholy downtempo hip-hop, and a goofy brand of midtempo electro which draws on cheesy West Coast jazz and MOR soul-funk for influence.
