The finale of The Bachelorette aired last night! Who did Emily Maynard choose?

Both men were well loved by Emily’s family and each received her father’s blessing to propose. Emily had originally decided she would not introduce either man to her 6 year old daughter however changed her mind on the spot and took Jef to meet her.

In a shocking turn of events Emily sent Arie home without even going on their last date. But when it came to Jef… Did he propose? Did she say yes?

It’s official! Mariah Carey is going to be a judge on season 12 of American Idol. The deal has been signed and in a statement she said, “As a singer, songwriter and producer, it's going to be fun and rewarding to help find new talent and give back with American Idol.

Carey continues saying, "I can't wait to channel my creative energy as a part of this show which is a massive global phenomenon."

Simon Fuller, creator and executive producer of Idol said he is "proud to have one of the world's greatest-ever female singers join our show. Mariah defines the word 'Idol' and will inspire every singer that has the honor of performing in front of her."

Harry Styles of One Direction has been known to like the older ladies, but a Canadian songstress may have him singing another tune.

Styles, 18, has caught the eye of Alyssa Reid, 19, during a performance at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Saturday.

The Canadian singer was thrilled to find out her dressing room was directly across the way from Harry and after going to say hello, re-emerged from the dressing room hanging on to a phone number.

Mariah Carey is reportedly about to sign on to become one of American Idol’s new judges in a deal that could be worth close to $17 million per year.

Randy Jackson, a judge on the show and Mariah’s manager, has been pursuing the singer since Jennifer Lopez announced her departure. 

Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon, didn’t think the show would have enough money to afford his wife, "I don't know if they can afford Mariah Carey," he told TMZ.  "That's a lot of money."

Despite her hubby’s comments, Mariah’s new contract, if accepted, will surpass Britney Spears’ $15 million paycheck on X Factor.

Other potential candidates for the job include veteran soul singer, Aretha Franklin, who happily volunteered herself to fill the spot.

 Over the weekend, police received a call from Katherine Jackson’s nephew, reporting the 82-year-old as missing.

Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department have since told NBC News that they have spoken with Katherine and she is on a planned vacation in Arizona.

Katherine is the guardian of Michael Jackson’s three children and is said to be away with her daughter Rebbie.

Although the family is happy Katherine is safe, the incident did have a significant impact on Paris, MJ’s daughter.

She tweeted, "yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now [sic]".

Longtime pals Ashton Kutcher, 34, and Mila Kunis, 28, were photographed getting rather close on Saturday.

The former That 70’s Show costars were snapped sharing a romantic smooch during the wrap party for Jobs.

Kunis and Kutcher have been fighting off relationship rumors since April.

In an interview with Extra, Mila quickly shot down their supposed romance, "It's absurd! A friend is a friend."

Her campaign to end the rumors still continues, in a recent interview with British Elle, the actress said, "I am totally single.  Listen, [Ashton and I] hang out. We've known each other for 15 years. We have mutual friends. We're comfortable with one another. That's it! There's no crazy love story, nothing more."
