Last Friday Usher’s stepson was involved in a serious jet ski accident and was left brain dead. Seems this tragic turn of events has made him want to settle his child support/custody battle with ex Tameka Raymond.
The two have been fighting dirty for weeks regarding the custody concerns of their children.
Sources close to the couple say Usher reached out to Tameka saying they should settle up but didn’t significantly change his custody offer. Tameka isn’t interested.
After the initial discussion Usher reportedly changed his tune and has offered her greater custody rights as well as more child support. No word from Tameka’s court as to her response.
While Jennifer Lopez is busy sitting on the American Idol fence Steven Tyler has leaped off and started running in the other direction.
He will not be returning to the American Idol judging table. Tyler has even gone so far as to compare the show to a deranged bunny killer.
His statement is as follows, “After some long ... hard ... thoughts ... I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit.”
If you don’t know the reference, it’s from the movie “Fatal Attraction” and points to the women who kills her lover’s daughter’s rabbit.

The Iron Chef was taken into police custody on June 17 and charged with a DUI. Instead of taking her mugshot that day she returned 11 days later to take it. That certainly explains her rested and put together look.
At the time of the incident Cora’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at 0.19 and she admitted to having consumed 3 beers. Her arrest came after she hit another vehicle stopped at a crosswalk. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Filming on the set of “The Good Wife” came to an abrupt halt yesterday day after Kristin Chenoweth was injured.
TMZ has spoken with a source who said Kristin was hit by a piece of lighting equipment. A large gust of wind caused it to collapse and it fell striking her in the head.
Its reported that she fell to the ground immediately and hit her head on the concrete. A witness on scene said she was hit “square in the head” and appeared to be “knocked out cold”.
A rep for the New York Fire Department tells TMZ she is being treated for “minor injuries”.

Jennifer Lopez has made a decision about her spot on American Idol. Today on the Today show she said, “I am thinking that it’s time for me to go.”
There has been a lot of buzz for the past few weeks about whether she will opt to stay on for a 3rd season or go her separate way.
Lopez says it won’t be easy for her to leave, “I've loved it so much. I've enjoyed the show so much. I enjoy just the whole process of the show ... It's a tough decision either way, but I have to say there are so many things I do that I put on hold for that. It's a heartbreaking decision if I have to go."
