It’s a sad day in Hollywood, Andy Griffith has passed away. This morning in his North Carolina home Griffith died at the age of 86.
He was best known for his iconic The Andy Griffith Show and role as a defense attorney on Matlock. Griffith was also a Grammy award-winning southern gospel singer, and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from George W. Bush in 2005.
George Lindsey (who played Goober Pyle), costar to Griffith, died in May, Griffith said: "Our last conversation was a few days ago. We would talk about our health, how much we missed our friends who passed before us and usually about something funny. I am happy to say that as we found ourselves in our 80s, we were not afraid to say, 'I love you.' That was the last thing George and I had to say to each other. 'I love you.' "
Anderson Cooper has announced that he is gay.
This news doesn't come as a surpise to many as it has been rumoured for many years.

News broke on Friday that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are filing for divorce. Interesting details are now coming out, the most peculiar being Katie Holmes age.
Cruise has married (and divorced) 3 times. Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and now Katie Holmes. Each of these marriages ended when the ladies were 33. Seems like a very odd coincidence.
Huffington Post spoke to a former Scientologist and they explained, “The number 33 is known as the 'Master Teacher. It represents altruism and increasing your positive energy. It’s associated with healing powers through love."
There are many rumours circling that the marriage between Holmes and Cruise was a contract and her 5 years are now up and she’s out!
