Jack Osbourne, son of famed rock star Ozzy Osbourne, has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

He and mother Sharon Osbourne spoke to PEOPLE exclusively about the shocking news. “I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, 'Why now?' " Jack tells PEOPLE. "I've got a family and that's what's supposed to be the most important thing."

Two short weeks ago Jack and fiancée Lisa Stelly welcomed their daughter Pearl Clementine to the world.

The disease affects the central nervous system and causes problems with muscle control, vision, balance, feeling and thinking. MS can affect people in a variety of ways. Some will only experience minor problems where as others suffer from serious physical effects.
