Lionsgate didn’t hesitate to find a replacement for Hunger Games director, Gary Ross.

Two weeks after Ross resigned as director for the sequel, Catching Fire, Lionsgate has announced that Water For Elephants director, Francis Lawrence will take on the challenge.

Filming begins this fall and apparently the tight timeline was a deciding factor when choosing the new director.
