There is a lot of stipulation surrounding the late night/early morning brawl that went down at a New York City nightclub between Drake and Chris Brown.

The NYPD has confirmed that the two stars entourages did engage in a violent altercation and although no arrests were made, five were taken to hospital for minor injuries.

By the time police arrived on the scene Drake and Breezy were nowhere to be found, but it wasn’t long until Brown tweeted about the incident along with a picture of his cut chin.

“How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol… Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!”

This leaves us with the question--why or what caused the incident?

According to reports, the fight was over Rihanna (of course), who’s Chris Brown’s ex and a former flame of Drake’s.

Apparently during the night, Brown sent Drake and his entourage a bottle of champagne with a note attached that clearly didn’t go over well with the Canadian singer.

The Sun has made a far-fetched claim that the note read, “I’m f****** the love of your life, deal with it,” but that has yet to be confirmed.

Drake apparently retaliated by sending another note back to Chris that didn’t sit well with Breezy.

Sources say that Chris then confronted Drake in his VIP section, which resulted in Drake punching Brown in the face while his entourage bottled him.

Security immediately broke up the fight, but just like Houdini, Drake had disappeared.

It looks like Rihanna really has a hold on two of hip hops leading men, which leads us all to wonder what’s really going on in this love triangle?
