After nearly 2 years of separation, the Arquette-Cox couple is officially calling it quits.

Court documents obtained by ET says the petition was filed June 8 and the reason for divorce was listed as “irreconcilable differences.”

To many people’s surprise it is David Arquette who filed for divorce from the Cougar Town star.

The pair separated in October 2010 and both have been very public about their remaining friendship.

David will represent himself and isn’t asking for child support or spousal support.

He will seek joint custody of their 7-year-old daughter Coco.
