Canada’s first Bachelor has been revealed and sports fans may recognize his name.

Brad Smith, currently a free agent in the CFL and has played for the Toronto Argos and most recently the Edmonton Eskimos.

The 28-year-old athlete will be the first bachelor looking to get engaged on the Canadian version of the reality TV show.

Smith grew up in Quebec and speaks French, sure to entice the many ladies who are looking for love.

Brad now lives in Toronto and is serious about the show and meeting his future bride.

I can’t wait to meet all the wonderful Canadian women who have put their lives on hold to experience all of this with me. I hope I can live up to their expectations, as I know they'll absolutely exceed mine.”
