Octomom Is In The Clear After Social Services Investigation
Nadya Suleman found herself in the middle of an investigation after claims of child neglect were brought to light when her hairdresser reported her to Orange County Social Services Agency on Tuesday.
The mother of 14 was accused of locking her children in a room using a chair to hold the door, making them use portable toilettes outside and spending $520 on her hair.
The famous mom spoke out Thursday claiming she was “set up” and explained herself to Good Morning America.
"She thought it was unacceptable that they're half-naked going potty," Suleman, 36, explained, explaining that the toilet inside was broken. "I mean mom is out there, come on."
She continued to explain her pricey hairdressing bill, "I am making money, though. I have jobs and I can afford it," she also added that the bill included haircuts for all of her children.
The single mother says that she continues to work to provide for her children, "I've been using the media to pay the bills," she explained. "Any offer, now, is to take care of my kids."
The Orange County Social Services Agency has since wrapped up their investigation and concluded that the children are safe and no further action is required.
