Yes, you certainly can like one child more than another. We all have distinct personalities that mesh better with one type or another. Does that mean that if I had to choose between my children in a life and death situation that I actually could. Of course not. Does that mean that between my three girls I enjoy going to the mall with the one that loves to shop (because I love shopping) versus the one that hates it and complains and whines about it. Of course. If you have (as I do) a child who wins the award for cheerfullness and happiness at school versus the one who has her teachers frustrated because of her discontent with everything under the sun, then yes I would have to say that I do 'like' one more than the other. That being said, there has to be a reason for the behavior, and as a parent it is our job to ensure our children's issues are dealt with appropriately and to make sure they feel 'loved' at all times.
