The Justice for Captain campaign is huge!!!

Thanks to everyone who has donated as well as helped spread the word about the Justice for Captain campaign  - we're happy to report this morning that we are closing in on raising 66-thousand dollars to help end animal cruelty in British Columbia.  We had hoped to raise 10-thousand dollars which is the average cost to investigate one case of animal cruelty....but you guys have helped smash that right out of the park!  If you want to donate or spread the word you can do so here.

Other ways to help:

One of our listeners has set up a petition to lobby the government for even stricter animal cruelty laws.  Every signature helps.

And tonight there is a vigil in Captain's memory.  It's happening at 7pm at the tennis courts at Kits beach. If you're going you are asked to bring a candle and your own dog.

Rest in peace Captain.....justice for you has come too late. You were allowed to suffer at the hands of your abuser for too long. When I think of what you went through the tears start to come. But always remember that there are people in the world who would have loved to have had the priviledge of calling you their friend.
You will never be forgotten. We WILL hold accountable the perpetrator of your most horrendous suffering. RIP.
