June has been a big a month for West Van teens, Willy Konantz, and Taylor Scholz.
They presented Vancouver General Hospital’s, Vancouver Prostate Centre with a check for just over 265-thousand dollars.
The pair raised the money cycling from The University of Western Ontario to West Van (with Mikhail Zalesky, and Yongku Jung in the support car ).
They dubbed the adventure “Gear West - Our Ride for Men" , and it was a very personal journey for the young men. Willy's father Don was diagnosed with the disease two years ago and has been receiving treatment and care at the Vancouver Prostate Centre at Vancouver General Hospital. The boys grew up together since elementary school and wanted to do something to show their support to Don.
