Saturday, October 6, 2012:

River District Farmers Market. Kerr Street Plaza, Kerr Street, one block South of SE Marine Drive. Come and shop from an excellent selection of fruits and veggies, prepared foods and handmade products produced by Metro Vancouver’s finest Farmers and artisans, enjoy musical entertainment, make fun arts and crafts with your kids.

 Cranberry Day at Meadows Maze in Pitt Meadows. Hopcott Farm's Meadows Maze, 13672 Reichenbach Road, Pitt Meadows. There are lots of events planned, including a cranberry pancake breakfast, free cranberries, booming cranberries in the bog, hay wagon rides, entertainment, contests, goodies, facepainting, and much more. 

 Sunday, October 7, 2012:

 VSO Kids' Koncerts: Peter and the Wolf at the Orpheum. 2:00pm-3:10pm 

Fungus Among Us! Stanley Park Nature House located under the viewing plaza at the corner of Alberni Street and Chilco Street. 1:30pm until 3:30pm. Ever wonder if toads really do sit on toad stools? Learn the interesting names and fun facts about Stanley Park’s blossoming fungal flora. Get the lowdown on what’s going on under the forest floor.

 Ready, Set, Go! It’s the Fairmont 500 Zucchini Races. Yes, zucchini races. Croquet Lawn, Fairmont, Chateau Whistler. 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Compete for the fastest and best decorated [zucchini] race car to win a night stay at the hotel. All proceeds will be donated to Fairmont's Sea to Sky Foundation.
